**Only people with experience with reactive dogs will be considered**
Meet Ruby! Ruby is a 2-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix who was picked up from a local overcrowded shelter. Ruby is sweet when she is comfortable but very reactive when fearful. Ruby needs an experienced family who can give her the time and space she needs to feel at home. We are confident that with the right love and patience, Ruby will blossom. Ruby would do best in a calm home without other dogs.
Notes from Ruby’s foster: “She is fearful of new people. Any sudden movement or unexpected touching and she will try to nip. She has slept well in a pen all night. Once you sit with her in her space she will immediately jump in your lap and kiss you. She loves belly rubs. But even when she is cuddling, the slightest unexpected noise or movement can set her off. She has gone potty outside on a leash but also one time in the house but on a pad. She mostly holds it until outside. She is adorable and sweet and wants love but is also so afraid and nervous. It could be being in a home with my dogs isn’t a good fit. She may do better with no other dogs.”
Ruby deserves a family committed to helping her realize she is safe and doesn’t have to be fearful anymore.
