Justice for Paws Animal Rescue is a foster-based nonprofit based in the Washington, D.C. metro area. We work with a network of partners to rescue homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals and find them loving forever homes. Our goal is to pursue equity, advocacy, and justice for all animals in need with a special focus on grassroots efforts to raise awareness and provide hands-on support in our communities.
Justice for Paws is a women-led, volunteer-powered organization that was established in 2022.

OUR PROCESS
We rescue animals from homelessness and neglect—whether they’re in a shelter, a dumping ground, or surrendered locally. We empower our fosters and adopters to find animals in need that we can sponsor and bring to safety. We also partner with rescue affiliates in South Texas and beyond to transport dogs and cats to the DMV.
